<p>Mechanical Test Engineer - Confidential</p> <p>Middletown RI</p> <p>Contract - 1st Shift, 5/40</p> <p>Pay Rate: $69.89/Hr.</p> <p>Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k</p> <p>Qualifications: Mechanical Test Engineer • US Citizenship</p> <ul> <li>Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Confidential Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. • Typically requires a bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience </li><li>Hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to work in a lab environment Primary Role: Mechanical Test Engineer - Confidential • Mechanical / HW Testing Key Requirements & Responsibilities: Mechanical Test Engineer - Confidential • Perform instrumentation planning and test conduct of all Hardware Tests including vibration, mechanical shock, temperature, altitude, humidity, and structural testing </li><li>Dynamic and thermal data acquisition and analysis </li><li>Provide test fixture design coordination </li><li>Work independently and take ownership of program/project to achieve schedule, financial, and technical goals </li><li>Prepare test plans, schedules, test reports, and technical documentation of project work assigned </li><li>Work directly with design engineering, structural analysis personnel, manufacturing engineering, and commercial customers </li><li>Provide technical expertise to programs as needed </li><li>Factory and supplier testing support domestically and internationally </li><li>Generate detailed, archival technical reports </li><li>Travel to test sites to support test or design discussion (depending on work assignment) </li><li>Willingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities Qualifications We Prefer: Mechanical Test Engineer - Confidential • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. </li><li>Experience in Hardware and Environmental Testing (i.e. Dynamic Shock/Vibration, Climatic, Structural) </li><li>Experience in one or more of the following areas: Signal processing, data acquisition, field test instrumentation, or structural testing </li><li>Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and independently </li><li>Experience with solid modeling CAD tool such as CREO or equivalent </li><li>Experience with Matlab </li><li>Experience presenting to external customers </li><li>Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written </li><li>Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities 76848 </li></ul>
