<p>Job Description</p> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health Medical Center</p> <p>ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsible for Endoscopy operations at VMC (Gastroenterology and Pulmonology) and East Carolina Endoscopy Center (Ambulatory Surgery Center):</p> <p>24 Hour Accountability: Maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations, VMC and ECEC.</p> <p>Human Resource Management: Provides performance feedback. Supports staff development by facilitating the assessment of educational needs and identification of needed resources. Adheres to legal and organizational requirements related to personnel management. Keeps job descriptions current and maintains required team member documentation.</p> <p>Quality Assurance/Improvement: Serves as change agent in departmental and organizational transformations.</p> <p>Financial Management: Coordinates the development of and adherence to budget. Utilizes workload data to justify and adjust staffing needs. Participates and adheres to overall hospital financial plan.</p> <p>Program Planning/Development: Initiates, monitors and/or participates in program development, implementation and evaluation (in alignment with ECU Health mission, vision, values, and strategic plans). Plans for capital expenditures and expansion of services with medical staff and others as appropriate.</p> <p>Patient/Staff/Physician Experience: Tracks patient/staff/physician experience and implements changes to enhance.</p> <p>Maintenance of Accreditation Requirements: Ensures all Endoscopy Services locations are in a continuous state of readiness and meet/exceed accreditation requirements. Provides written policies and procedures.</p> <p>Divisional Resource: Serves as divisional resource and/or participates on designated committees. Creates climate to maintain and facilitate open lines of communication for the promotion of effective working relationships. Coordinates department functions with other hospital departments/services and community resources.</p> <p>Personal Clinical Competence: Assumes responsibility for personal clinical competence and continuing education including maintenance of professional credentials.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>College Degree plus other schooling is required.</p> <p>BSN required with MSN preferred- or higher.</p> <p>Registered Nurse License required.</p> <p>Must have NC Registered Nurse Licensure prior to hire.</p> <p>American Heart Association BLS required/American Heart Association ACLS required</p> <p>CGRN preferred</p> <p>3 to 5 years of experience is required.
