<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Deputy Commandant, this position provides for the safety and security services for residents (Members), staff, visitors, and physical property of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove. In addition, this position provides facility front desk coverage as scheduled.</p> <p>Clink the link to view a copy of the full job description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting wage is $18.32 per hour.</p> <p>This job does not offer employee benefits.</p> <p>Security Officer 2 is in pay schedule-pay range 05-09.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Schedule details: Every other weekend 9:000am-5:00pm, 2-3 nights a week 4:00pm-8:00pm LTE jobs have no guaranteed hours or shifts.</p> <p>LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period, are based on operational need, and can end at any time.</p> <p>Physical requirements are to patrol and response to dispatch calls can require moving across varied terrain and interior environments ranging from multiple-story staircases to small, confined spaces. There is exposure to outdoor elements. Routine assignments can require moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. These requirements cover the major and essential functions of the position but are not necessarily representative of all duties which this position may be assigned to perform.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Per Wisconsin Statute 230.26, Wisconsin residency is required for LTE appointments.
