<p>The speech language pathologist will conduct evaluations and provide direct services to students with mild/moderate disabilities in a public school setting. Responsibilities Include: Conducts thorough assessments of speech and language skills utilizing standardized evaluations and informal assessments to establish eligibility for services and inform goals and service delivery Utilizes data to develop attainable, strengths-based SMART goals for improving functional communication skills Provides direct services utilizing research-based treatment methods to improve students' functional communication skills as outlined in the students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) Records data and reports progress at least as often as report cards are provided Attends and participates in IEP meetings Collaborates with other related service providers to conduct co-treatment sessions when deemed appropriate Consults with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to implement communication strategies throughout the school day Participates in professional development that is specific to the field and meets requirements to maintain licensure Reports To: Building principal and special education team administrator Director of Special Education & Special Education Coordinator The posted range reflects educators with beginner to mid-level experience, and is aligned with the Unit A Contract.
