<p>Overview</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Provides a clean and safe environment to the patient, staff, and visitors. Cleans, disinfects, and maintains surgery. Provides courteous, safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Maintians environment of care.</p> <p>Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.</p> <p>Develops and maintains technical skills.</p> <p>Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.</p> <p>Documents all patient transports on appropriate chart/log.</p> <p>Completes assigned goals</p> <p>Specifications</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment. 6 months hospital or customer service experience.</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment. 6 months hospital or customer service experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>High School diploma, GED or higher</p> <p>Training</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>As needed to perform duties</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Special Skills</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>Licensure</p> <p>Minimum Required</p> <p>BLS certification within 14 days of hire date</p> <p>Preferred/Desired</p> <p>BLS</p>
