<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to determine eligibility for </li></ul> <p>students in special education.</p> <ul> <li>Works closely with occupational, physical, and speech therapists to develop and </li></ul> <p>implement programing that encompasses all necessary skills for every aspect of the</p> <p>student's school day.</p> <ul> <li>Provides appropriate amount of supervision of students to ensure safety. </li><li>Maximizes the utilization of instructional assistants. </li><li>Develops and implements student behavior modification programs designed to </li></ul> <p>teacher appropriate behavior and foster self-motivation.</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements Individual Education Plans for each student. </li><li>Conducts case conferences and annual care reviews via scheduling meetings, </li></ul> <p>interpreting data, and writing case conference reports.</p> <ul> <li>Performs other reasonably-related duties as may be assigned by the building </li></ul> <p>principal or special education director.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>o Valid Indiana Teachers License- Special Education</p> <p>o In the areas of Mild and Intensive Interventions or willing to work for</p> <p>certification.</p> <p>o Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities.</p> <p>o An understanding of Functional Life Skills programming including Community-</p> <p>Based Instruction.</p> <p>o Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with school professionals,</p> <p>students and families.</p> <p>o Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p>
