Full Time Shift Day Work Schedule Summary VP Area U of U Health - Academics Department 01337 - Molecular Medicine Program Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range 20000 to 500000 Close Date 07/01/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary</p> <p>Postdoctoral Research Associate</p> <p>Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology</p> <p>University of Utah - Boudina Laboratory</p> <p>The Boudina Laboratory in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate the metabolic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying cardiomyopathy.</p> <p>Research Focus</p> <p>The successful candidate will join a dynamic research team focused on understanding how alterations in metabolism and epigenetic regulation contribute to cardiac dysfunction. The project integrates cutting-edge approaches in cardiovascular biology, metabolism, and gene regulation, with an emphasis on translational relevance.</p> <p>Environment</p> <p>The University of Utah provides a vibrant and collaborative research environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and strong interdisciplinary programs in metabolism, cardiovascular biology, and genomics.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, execute, and troubleshoot experimental studies related to cardiomyopathy </li><li>Conduct day-to-day laboratory research using molecular, cellular, and/or physiological techniques </li><li>Analyze and interpret experimental data </li><li>Prepare and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals </li><li>Contribute to grant writing and fellowship applications </li><li>Mentor graduate students, undergraduate trainees, and research staff </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications Preferences</p> <p>Applicants must hold a Ph.D., degree in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Cardiovascular physiology </li><li>Genetics and epigenetics </li><li>Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) </li><li>Gene therapy </li></ul> <p>Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
