<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Norwich Free Academy is accepting application for the College & Career Center Coordinator. This is a twelve-month position with benefits as outlined in the 12 month employee handbook. The College & Career Center Coordinator supports Norwich Free Academy students' postsecondary planning, career exploration, scholarship exploration, and employment pathways. The Coordinator supports the daily operations and programs of a busy, comprehensive college and career center on the NFA campus. The Coordinator works collaboratively with school counselors, teachers, community partners, and employers to ensure students are prepared for success beyond high school.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <p>Center Operations & Student Support</p> <p>Support the daily operations of the College & Career Center.</p> <p>Provide individualized and small-group support to students in career exploration, career assessments, scholarship research and applications, part-time job and internship opportunities, and career readiness skills, including resume development and interview preparation.</p> <p>Complete and process students' working papers.</p> <p>Maintain up-to-date resources on colleges, careers, scholarships, and workforce opportunities.</p> <p>Program Development & Event Coordination:</p> <p>Support, plan, and coordinate college and career programming, including Career Exploration speaker series, Career Expo, College & Career Fair, job fairs, college visits (on-campus and virtual), workforce readiness events, military visits, and ASVAB testing.</p> <p>Assist with scheduling, logistics, communications, and day-of-event coordination.</p> <p>Organize and coordinate field trips related to career exploration.</p> <p>Collaborate with the Communications Department to promote programs and work-based learning opportunities.</p> <p>Career Pathways Support:</p> <p>Support career pathway programs through scheduling, logistics coordination, employer engagement activities, internship and work-based learning placements, and required paperwork and compliance documentation.</p> <p>Assist with tracking student participation and program outcomes.</p> <p>Community & Employer Engagement:</p> <p>Proactively develop and maintain partnerships with employers, community organizations, postsecondary institutions, and workforce development agencies.</p> <p>Attend community events to promote student opportunities and strengthen partnerships.</p> <p>Facilitate employer participation in school-based events and student programs.</p> <p>Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services, the Director of the College and Career Center, or Designee</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Associate's degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) in education, counseling, workforce development, or related field.</p> <p>Experience working with high school or college-aged students.</p> <p>Strong organizational and event-planning skills.</p> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.</p> <p>Experience with community engagement and partnership development preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, career pathways, and workforce trends strongly preferred.</p> <p>Application Procedures:</p> <p>Please attach a detailed cover letter along with a resume, and three recent letters of recommendation (within 1 year).
