We comply with all Mass General Brigham conditions of employment, including vaccination mandates.</p> <p>Reporting to the Senior Director, Development Services, the Development Services Database Specialist supports the Mass Eye and Ear development team by assisting with data management and the operational aspects of direct mail, donor relations, and event coordination. They will work within Blackbaud CRM to build complex queries and exports, manage data entry and clean-up and provide reports and analysis to support fundraising efforts. They will also provide critical support for events and stewardship efforts, helping to attain department fundraising goals and ensuring that donors feel recognized and appreciated. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience with donor database management. The ability to work successfully both independently and in collaboration with other staff members, function in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet deadlines are also essential.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <ul> <li>Build complex queries and exports in Blackbaud CRM to generate donor lists, mailing data, and reports in support of fundraising efforts, events, newsletters, meetings, grant proposals and donor appeals. </li><li>Collaborate with the direct mail partner and Senior Director of Strategy and Communications to create and segment and code appeals for direct marketing campaigns. </li><li>Create and maintain regular reports to evaluate the impact of fundraising campaigns, donor engagement and other development activities. Provide actionable insights from data to help optimize efforts and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Support stewardship activities by managing annual giving gift acknowledgments, tribute notifications, and supporting other efforts to ensure donors feel appreciated and informed. </li><li>Maintain data integrity and accuracy within the database by conducting regular data clean-up, deduplication, and integrity checks as well as ensuring accurate data entry, record creation, updates and record merges. </li><li>Manage fundraising event registration data by ensuring accurate tracking of guest lists, RSVPs, attendance, and expenses. Partner with events team to ensure data is accurate and aligned with fundraising goals. </li><li>Document processes and workflows related to database management, gift processing, and donor communication to ensure consistency and accuracy across the team. </li><li>Provide backup support to the fundraising team for general administrative tasks, including office assistance, filing, and phone inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree Information Systems preferred</p> <p>Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>2-3 in donor database management, data analysis, or related roles within a nonprofit environment required.</p> <p>Philanthropy database experience preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in operational experience with fundraising databases.
