<p>Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Plant Controller for our Northeast Ohio Campus.</p> <p>Tarkett is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller for the Northeast Ohio Campus who will be for the financial oversight of plant activities in Chagrin Falls and Middlefield related to accounting, budgeting, product costing, plant operating costs, and other related matters. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Plant Controller will need to collaborate on executing strategies for growth and enhanced profitability, maximizing cost savings and ensuring attainment of business goals. This role will report directly to the VP of Finance, Commercial with a strong dotted line to the Senior Director of Operations, Ohio Campus.</p> <p>What this role will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Planning, organizing, and managing accurate financial accounting and internal control processes of the manufacturing facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Track all direct and indirect costs related to the plants.</p> </li><li> <p>Review accuracy of manufacturing order costing.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure strong control, completeness and accuracy of inventory (at the plant and all third party warehouses/locations) and inventory movements.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and calculate inventory obsolescence.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure control and accuracy of fixed assets.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the plant in generating and quantifying cost savings opportunities for World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Planning annual costs / expenses and capital expenditure budgets including preparing economic cost studies for plant investments.</p> </li><li> <p>Timely and accurate closing of the books each month and related financial reporting (month end accruals, account analysis, scorecards, forecasting, variance analysis and productivity action plans monitoring).</p> </li><li> <p>Provide financial review and support to Management.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide analysis and recommendation on improving efficiency, including on new business, equipment and cost reduction initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure an effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, information systems and adherence to corporate policies.
