<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>UMSL Police</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Responds to incoming calls to the Police Department, routing and logging calls as appropriate, gathering and managing incident-related data, and arranging for the dispatch of officers to the scene of the complaint </li><li>Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams </li><li>Organizes and completes structured assignments (e.g., emergency and non-emergency complaints) according to priorities </li><li>Gathers and relays information according to standard processes and procedures </li><li>Maintains lists and logs, preparing records and reports as requested </li><li>Provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring </li><li>Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures </li><li>Impacts team through the quality of the services or information provided </li><li>Utilizes working knowledge and learned skills to perform various activities for the job </li><li>Possesses basic knowledge of specific processes and procedures needed to perform assignments within own work area </li><li>Communicates through the regular exchange of information, ranging from routine to complex; ensures objectivity and sensitivity in communications are applied </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
