Educational Staff Assistants will work closely with instructors to support the delivery of the entrepreneurship curriculum. They will also engage directly with high school students, helping them explore the entrepreneurial mindset, transform ideas into action, and understand what it takes to launch a business.</p> <p>Our 2-week summer residential program runs from June 15th-June 26th, 2026.</p> <p>This is an in-person position. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis.</p> <p>The selected candidates must be able to attend a paid week of staff training prior to the program start date and work from June 15th-June 26th, including the weekend.</p> <p>As an Educational Staff Assistant for the Lassonde Start Up-Academy you will:</p> <ul> <li>Help with the develop, build and teach entrepreneurial curriculum </li><li>Learn and implement various classroom management techniques </li><li>Work with the instructors to create a safe learning environment </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Educational Staff Assistants will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with classroom management including the direction, supervision, and organization of students </li><li>Handling classroom supplies </li><li>Group management outside of designated classroom learning time </li><li>Facilitating activities, workshops, and assigments that are part of the curriculum </li><li>Working with Youth Education instructors and staff to ensure program quality </li><li>Deliver extraordinary customer service to all program participants </li><li>Encourage campers to participate in activities by demonstrating excitement and enthusiasm appropriately </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.</p> <p>Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required</p> <p>Nearly Continuously: Office environment.</p> <p>Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required</p> <p>Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.</p> <p>Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.</p> <p>Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>At least 18 years old </li><li>Prior experience working with high schoolers in a classroom environment </li><li>Prior experience working in the field of entrepreneurship </li><li>Self-directed, punctual, and highly organized </li><li>Available consistently throughout the scheduled program weeks, including weekends </li></ul> <p>The requirements listed in our job description are guidelines, not hard and fast rules.
