<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Facilities Mechanic III - Dining</p> <p>Job Group:</p> <p>Merit</p> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, maintenance of steam and mechanical equipment. • Must have four years of work experience in the listed crafts, including apprenticeship or technical training. • At least two years of that experience must be in the same craft. </li></ul> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Join Iowa State University as a Facilities Mechanic III supporting ISU Dining locations across campus. In this role, you'll help keep kitchens, markets, cafés, and production spaces running smoothly by maintaining equipment and utility systems. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to urgent repairs, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure safe, reliable operations.</p> <p>This role offers broad work across multiple trades, including: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.</p> <p>You'll install and do minor repairs on commercial kitchen equipment, maintain utility systems, complete daily work orders, and support facility improvements. You'll also follow safety procedures, and use tools like TMA and Metasys to document work.
