<p>This role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical components for Tesla's vehicle platforms as part of the Vehicle Development Team. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards while pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence.</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop mechanical systems and components for vehicle platforms </li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs into overall vehicle architecture </li><li>Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing </li><li>Conduct testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliability </li><li>Iterate on designs based on feedback from testing and production teams </li><li>Contribute to innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges </li><li>Support the transition of designs from concept to production </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience </li><li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience </li><li>Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering or related fields </li><li>Design engineering experience with interest in multidisciplinary engineering </li><li>Hands-on experience in building or prototyping physical systems </li><li>Proficiency in hand-sketching as a form of engineering communication </li><li>Automotive engineering experience with seating systems preferred but not required </li></ul>
