Number 15645</p> <p>Share</p> <p>more</p> <p>We are seeking a Senior EHS Officer to lead safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement across our facilities and project sites. This role ensures regulatory compliance, drives a strong safety culture, and oversees field safety activities. You'll collaborate closely with operations leadership, engineering teams, project managers, and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment and uphold company EHS standards. This position reports to the VP of Operations and is based from either of our facilities in Columbia or Frederick, MD.</p> <p>Your tasks</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable EHS regulations. </li><li>Conduct regulatory reviews and advise site leadership on compliance requirements. </li><li>Perform advanced hazard assessments and analyses, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments. </li><li>Lead field hazard mitigation activities and verify corrective action completion. </li><li>Provide oversight on material handling and equipment safety. </li><li>Facilitate instructor led safety training to employees, field teams, and subcontractors. </li><li>Lead site inspections and safety audits. </li><li>Respond to incidents; conduct or co lead root cause investigations and develop corrective actions. </li><li>Lead emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness of fire, evacuation, and first aid systems. </li><li>Partner with operations, engineering, project managers, and clients to integrate safety into planning and execution. </li><li>Maintain EHS documentation including hazardous waste records, manifests, and SDS files. </li><li>Communicate field safety trends, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership. </li></ul> <p>Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz</p> <p>Our colleagues provide insider information about:</p> <ul> <li>Daily adventures and challenges </li><li>Our passionate team </li><li>The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions </li></ul> <p>Your browser does not support the video tag</p> <p>Your qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field. </li><li>Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS experience, ideally in electronics manufacturing or industrial environments. </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of OSHA, hazard control practices, and equipment safety. </li><li>Experience with forklift/manlift safety, machine guarding, and LOTO practices </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office; experience with JHAs and incident investigation tools. </li><li>Excellent communication and coaching skills. </li><li>Must be a U.S. Person able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance </li><li>Preferred - CESCO certification or additional EHS credentials (CSP, CHMM, CIH). </li></ul> <p>Interested?</p> <p>We are looking forward to receiving your application!</p> <p>The total compensation for this position is $68K-$102K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
