Join us to be part of our continuous success.</p> <p>GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:</p> <p>Fab/Machine operator's set-up, operate, and maintain machinery. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.</p> <p>Fabrication involves cutting and bending of sheet metal for fabrication of Manitou products.</p> <p>Shift Available: 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday 3:30p-2a</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner. </li><li>Interpret technical drawings and blueprints. </li><li>Assists with procuring materials needed for production. Must use tape measure, square, protractor, dial caliper and plug gauges. </li><li>Must operate the various equipment including lasers and press brakes. </li><li>Responsible for completion for production and quality paperwork. </li><li>Contact Fabrication Manager, Supervisor or Fabrication Leader if problems arise. </li><li>In the event of an accident or injury immediately, notify the Shift supervisor on duty. </li><li>Contact the Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary. </li><li>Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management. </li><li>Use tools, equipment and technology, computers or automated systems. </li><li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. </li><li>Check results for conformance to print and / or specifications and make necessary corrections. </li><li>Work with coworkers in a polite and courteous manner, providing cross training as needed. </li><li>Able to work overtime as required. </li><li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Expectations for advancement purpose</p> <ul> <li> <p>Level I</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet and exceed the above duties and responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding material handling processes</p> </li><li> <p>Blueprint comprehension</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and use measuring instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Level II</p> </li><li> <p>All duties of Level I in addition to:</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate machines and their operating systems</p> </li><li> <p>Level III</p> </li><li> <p>All duties of Level I and II in addition to:</p> </li><li> <p>Training of new employees</p> </li><li> <p>Programming of Lasers</p> </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience is preferred </li></ul> <p>EXPERTISE:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, checklists, internal and external deviations, etc. </li><li>Computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite is preferred. </li><li>Strong analytical and reasoning skills. </li><li>Must be a self-starter, team player, and have the ability to multitask. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>PAY RANGE:</p> <ul> <li>Base Pay Range between $22-$30.25 per hour, plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics </li><li>Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location </li></ul> <p>LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:</p> <ul> <li>This position is located in Madison, SD </li><li>There is no travel required for this position </li></ul> <p>What does MANITOU Group offer?
