<p>About the Position A USAL driver / car hauler is responsible for transporting vehicles between manufacturing facilities, shipping ports, rail yards, terminals, and dealerships. The driver / car hauler partners with our operations, safety, and administrative teams to ensure the safe, on-time, legally-compliant, and damage-free delivery of our customers' vehicles. Here's what "good" looks like: A commitment to a "safety-first" mindset and a passion to meet a weekly performance standard The motivation to do the right thing, every time A commitment to delivering vehicles the S.O.L.D. way---safely, on-time, legally-compliant, and damage-free A willingness to embrace technology (e.g., electronic logs, computer systems, smart phones, apps, web-based tools) and an attitude of continuous improvement Showing pride in yourself and equipment---courteous, professional behavior; a neat appearance in company uniform; and a well-maintained truck, trailer, and/or tools Pay Range: - , General Benefits: Preferred Requirements At least two (2) years of auto transport experience with 9-10 car trailer within the past five years Previous experience with flatbed, tanker, or food service deliveries Demonstrated stable work history Minimum Requirements At least two (2) years of over-the-road experience operating a Class 8 tractor and 41' trailer Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record Valid DOT medical certificate High school diploma or GED Twenty-three (23) years of age Successful pre-employment screening and drug test Successful interview and road test Ability to read and write English Legally able to work in the United States Transitioning veterans - Honorable discharge, minimum of three (3) years' experience in MOS 88M or 3531, and Military Skills Test Waiver General / Physical Job Duties Safely climb in/out of a tractor cab and on trailer Sit for extended periods of time Walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather Reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel Operate a tractor-trailer in all types of weather, while safely transporting vehicles Plan travel routes and meet delivery schedules Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents, or violations Maintain courteous, professional behavior and a neat appearance Primary Location To maximize one's eligibility for this position, the candidate should reside within 150 miles of 17845 US-11, Vance, AL 35490, USA.</p>
