<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan, organize, implement and conduct supervisory training. </li><li>Research, evaluate and present branch budget needs. </li><li>Devise, coordinate and implement training plan for branch yearly. </li><li>Manage staff to include administrative and disciplinary actions, carry out and recommend appropriate action to the Division Director and Assistant Division Director and Major. </li><li>Establish, maintain, and coordinate with institutions, divisions, outside agencies, or departments regarding training needs and issues. </li><li>Supervise Administrative Lieutenants, EPMS, and implementation of position descriptions. </li><li>Audit and document training to ensure compliance. </li><li>Screen, conduct interviews, make selections for vacancies. </li><li>Hold staff meetings to ensure dissemination of information/ training aids. </li></ul> <p>Resume preferred, but not required.</p> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant supervisory experience. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required supervisory experience.</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years training or teaching experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity. </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>An Associate degree and four (4) years training or teaching experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; </li></ul> <p>OR</p> <ul> <li>A High School diploma, and six (6) years of training or teaching experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity. </li></ul> <p>Must complete the following T4T's: staff trainer, firearms, defensive tactics, less lethal munition, emergency preparedness and American Red Cross first aid/ CPR.
