The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love for learning and helping students develop essential skills. This role involves creating engaging and effective learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our second-grade students.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and best practices in elementary education. </li><li>Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports the physical and emotional well-being of all students. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. </li><li>Foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity among students. </li><li>Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and development. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and standards. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CTDOE) certification in Elementary Education, 1-6 (305). </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. </li><li>Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. </li><li>Commitment to continuous professional growth and development. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with technology integration in the classroom. </li><li>Familiarity with elementary education. </li><li>Experience working in a diverse and inclusive educational setting. </li></ul>
