<p>Salary: $452.55 daily</p> <p>Hornblower is seeking a Supply Officer for our Seaward Services operation on the USNS Guam.</p> <p>About You:</p> <p>This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody Hornblower's RESPECT Service System.</p> <p>About the Opportunity:</p> <p>The Supply Officer onboard USNS Guam plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the supply and logistics operations of the vessel. This position is responsible for ensuring the availability of necessary resources, equipment, and provisions to support the ship's mission, crew, and embarked personnel. The Supply Officer will coordinate and execute procurement, inventory management, storage, distribution, and financial oversight to maintain efficient and effective supply chain operations.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Procurement Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire necessary supplies, equipment, and services in compliance with applicable regulations and budgetary constraints.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct market research, solicit bids, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with relevant departments to identify procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.</p> </li><li> <p>Inventory Control and Management:</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, item descriptions, and locations.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct regular inventory inspections, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze usage patterns, forecast demand, and recommend adjustments to inventory levels and reordering parameters.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor shelf-life items and manage expiration dates to minimize waste.</p> </li><li> <p>Logistics and Distribution:</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the efficient and timely movement of supplies and equipment to and from the ship.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and execute cargo loading and unloading operations, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and schedule supply deliveries based on operational requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and track shipment status, resolve any transportation issues, and ensure proper documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Financial Oversight:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and manage the supply budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of funds and adherence to financial guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Track expenditures, review invoices, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize procurement processes, and recommend budget adjustments as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Regulatory Compliance:</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and policies related to procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) </li><li>Logistics/Supply Management school </li><li>SHIPCLIP/SM </li><li>Hazmat school </li><li>Secret Clearance </li><li>Valid U.S. Passport </li><li>Valid USCG Medical Certificate </li><li>Valid TWIC Card </li><li>Ability to pass a physical exam </li><li>Ability to pass a written exam </li></ul> <p>About Us:</p> <p>Hornblower's passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
