Join us and help protect what matters most!</p> <p>BRIEF JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>This role is responsible for placing daily and weekly orders with steel mill supplier partners in alignment with established sourcing strategies. The position channels purchases based on price, availability, and quality while supporting project needs by quoting steel pipe projects as directed. The individual will build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at steel pipe mill partners and manage steel pipe inventory for assigned VSN regions to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Issue POs to steel pipe suppliers as required </li><li>Manage and maintain steel pipe inventory levels at assigned VSN locations </li><li>When applicable, move steel pipe between VSN locations to support demand </li><li>Obtain 30-day price sheets from all supplier partners </li><li>Quote and negotiate steel pipe for specific customer projects </li><li>Communicate any VSN quality issues to suppliers, and request resolution </li><li>Resolve any supplier invoice discrepancies </li><li>Work with VSN locations to identify "deadstock" and determine plan to use up </li><li>Support resolution of any steel pipe field claims </li><li>Understand supplier partner rebate programs, and potential impact on net price. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associates degree </li><li>5+ years experience in steel pipe or pipe fabrication business </li><li>Microsoft Excel </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Self-motivated </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Normal mental/visual Attention </li><li>Normal office environment </li><li>Occasional travel </li></ul> <p>IND210</p> <p>#LI-DM1</p>
