Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!</p> <p>Why you'll love this job</p> <ul> <li>A Base Mgr., Inflight must ensure a safe, high performing operation by leading, engaging, and having high visibility with front-line team members. </li><li>Responsible for directing and managing the performance of Crew Managers, Operational Coordinator, and Administrative Support Staff. </li><li>Responsible for leading an Inflight Team that supports Flight Attendants in the operation while running a reliable operation. </li><li>Must be energized by a fast-paced dynamic environment and passionate about safety, teamwork, leadership and helping to achieve station and departmental goals. </li><li>This job is a member of the Inflight team within the Customer Experience group. </li></ul> <p>What you'll do</p> <p>As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.</p> <ul> <li>Local subject matter expert in departmental policies, procedures, regulations, and knowledge of the APFA collective bargaining agreement. </li><li>Works closely with local APFA reps to reach interest-based decisions for the company and the Flight Attendants </li><li>Escalation point-of-contact for Flight attendants in base for support, to address concerns, and resolve issues. </li><li>Effectively allocates resources and provides appropriate support to drive on-time performance and operational goals and metrics. </li><li>Adhere to the provisions of the operating budget. </li><li>Works with other departments to effectively resolve local problems and address flight attendant concerns. </li><li>Ability to analyze and make decisions based on data and work in an increasingly digital environment while leading people. </li><li>Provides feedback on current procedures and practices for accomplishing departmental objectives to improve efficiency and drive consistency. </li><li>Responsible for the hiring (external and internal) hires, promotions, and discharges. </li><li>Leads, supports, and mentors direct reports. </li><li>Directs and coordinates local base activities. </li></ul> <p>All you'll need for success</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training </li><li>4+ years of relevant experience </li><li>Experience in customer service industry </li><li>Prior leadership experience leading a team. </li><li>Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays. </li><li>Must be able to work on-site at assigned base/location </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience</p> <ul> <li>Current Inflight, Customer Care, or other operational experience in a leadership role </li><li>Prior mentorship and policy administration experience </li><li>Flight Attendant experience </li></ul> <p>Skills, Licenses & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to qualify as a Flight Attendant </li><li>Ability to bring out the best performance in the workforce through proactive employee engagement and support for an inclusive working environment. </li><li>Ability to actively listen - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate. </li><li>Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. </li><li>Ability to monitor and assess performance of self, team members and the operation to make improvements or take corrective action. </li><li>Strong decision-making skills </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. </li><li>Ability to work under demanding operational conditions. </li><li>Ability to prioritize and execute with a sense of urgency and preciseness. </li><li>Ability to use sound business judgment to resolve issues with internal and external customers. </li><li>Ability to coordinate station activities and collaborate with multi-functional departments and agencies to ensure essential needs are met for a safe, efficient, on-time operation. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. </li><li>Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable </li><li>Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable </li><li>Pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated drug testing requirements, including verification with previous employers regarding DOT drug and alcohol violations and/or refusal to test.
