<p>Job Description</p> <p>Objective of the Job:</p> <p>The position will manage the pricing, market and customer segmentation, as well as product development for their industry segment. It will require knowledge and reporting related to market analysis, internal pricing and costing, as well as competitor extras and capabilities. This includes developing and implementing the mini-mill segment strategy for growth and profitability targets, and the automotive sales team.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>1) Oversight of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements; follow BRS directives and comply with regulatory requirements within scope of responsibility</p> <p>2) Develops product and branding strategies, customer plans and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained</p> <p>3) Develops and maintains relationships at all levels within the customer organization (purchasing, engineers, research and technology experts, business managers and senior management)</p> <p>4) Manages contract negotiations, and develops plans to satisfy contractual obligations</p> <p>5) Assists with monthly planning and forecasting; assists with the training of team members as needed</p> <p>6) Develops the mini-mill segment strategy for automotive sales; manages product mix and throughput in relation to profitability targets</p> <p>7) Works closely with the USS automotive team to co-develop shared accounts for direct, directed and intercompany automotive supply chains</p> <p>8) Keeps informed of and reports on new products, market dynamics and competitive landscape to develop methods to attain and retain customers; promotes BRS capabilities and unique benefits in the market</p> <p>9) Strategically develops and maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors</p> <p>10) Fosters and develops BRS team collaboration and training; ensures the delivery of the highest level of customer service to our customers</p> <p>11) Works closely with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Customer Technical Service, Logistics, Finance, and Operations and Planning, to resolve issues</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>1) Bachelor's degree in business, engineering/technology or a closely related field.</p> <p>2) 10+ years of experience in North American steel sales preferably to auto accounts.</p> <p>3) Proven record of accomplishments in sales, building and maintaining positive customer relationships, start-up experience and self-starter is preferred.</p> <p>4) Demonstrated ability to help build, develop, and mentor a team is desirable.</p> <p>5) Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within North America and up to 10% International travel.</p> <p>6) Effectively interpret and make business decisions using financial information</p> <p>7) Demonstrated ability to proactively and positively accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously</p> <p>8) Ability to work in a self-directed fashion, drive, initiative, self-starter</p> <p>9) Effectively lead others in a collaborative environment and drive results</p> <p>10) Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite</p> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:</p> <p>This position is remote. Independent travel is expected. Timely after-hours and weekend support coverage is required. Must maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and be adept in both electronic and verbal communications. This position requires a flexible schedule. Hours could include overtime, nights and weekends as well as travel with little or no advance notice.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>This position could supervise others. Support in developing talent in the organization is also required.</p>
