In addition to being one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Connecticut, Hartford Hospital ED is also a Comprehensive Cardiac Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and accredited Geriatric ED, treating patients of the highest acuity in the region. Comprised of 108 beds, with the addition of a new 19 bed ED Observation Unit, HHED treats over 110,000 patients annually.</p> <p>The Staffing Analyst is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing efficient, safe staffing strategies for the Emergency Department that enhance HHC's commitment to patient excellence and fiscal responsibility. The Staffing Analyst works closely with the Emergency Department nursing leadership team to provide transparency and validate financial accountability related to staffing and works with confidential and sensitive information including but not limited to team member data and organizational data. This is a dynamic role supporting an expansive team and complex scheduling process. Role responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Helps to maintain and communicate accurate daily staffing </li><li>Provides data and timekeeping reporting </li><li>Updates and cost shifts staff appropriately </li><li>Provides units with accurate and timely assignment sheets weekly </li><li>Meets with managers to provide schedules with even coverage </li><li>Tracks and inputs PTO, holiday, and weekend commitments </li><li>Processes and tracks accuracy of employee timecards </li><li>Utilizes electronic scheduling platforms to optimize schedule </li><li>Works closely with staff and managers to meet staff expectations and unit needs </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <p>High School graduate or equivalent</p> <p>Three (3) years of administrative, secretarial or scheduling experience</p> <p>Effective communication and interpersonal skills</p> <p>Computer skills</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>Associate or Bachelor's in Business Administration or similar relevant field</p> <p>Kronos UKG Dimensions knowledge</p> <p>Microsoft Office experience</p> <p>Hospital-based or medical office work experience</p> <p>We take great care of careers.</p> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
