<p>Summer Associate- Program Coordinator Project Transformation</p> <p>Project Transformation supports literacy development and academic engagement among elementary-age students from low-income households through structured summer reading and enrichment programming. Many participating students face barriers associated with poverty, including limited access to books, learning resources, and academic support during out-of-school time, contributing to summer learning loss and long-term educational gaps. The program addresses these challenges by providing consistent, high-quality literacy instruction and enrichment activities in a supportive environment. Through one-on-one and small-group reading, students build foundational literacy skills, improve reading comprehension, and increase confidence in their academic abilities. Enrichment activities further support social-emotional development and positive engagement with learning. By strengthening early literacy and reducing learning loss, the program contributes to improved academic outcomes, which are closely linked to long-term economic mobility and reduced poverty. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : Provide one-on-one and small-group reading support to elementary-age students to strengthen literacy skills and comprehension, while assisting with the implementation of structured literacy and enrichment activities. Supervise youth during daily programming and transitions, help prepare materials, and support coordination of program activities to ensure a safe and consistent learning environment. Assist with tracking student participation and engagement to support program evaluation.
