<ul> <li>Home </li><li>Work At Anna Maria College </li><li>Faculty & Staff Jobs </li><li>Project Director - DOJ STOP Grant </li></ul> <p>Project Director, DOJ STOP Grant</p> <p>Grant-Funded Full-Time Position</p> <p>3-Year Appointment</p> <p>Reports to: Grant Principal Investigator</p> <p>Location: Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Anna Maria College (AMC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Director to lead the implementation of the DOJ STOP-funded Supportive School Safety Intervention Project (SIP). This initiative aims to enhance school safety across Central Massachusetts through trauma-informed, mental health-focused training, outreach, and strategic partnerships.</p> <p>The Project Director will provide comprehensive oversight and coordination of SIP, working closely with school districts, law enforcement, community stakeholders, AMC staff, and the DOJ. The role will be housed within the Academic Affairs division of the College. It will be instrumental in advancing SIP's goal to prevent school violence through education, resource integration, and mental health training.</p> <p>This grant-funded full-time position is eligible to receive employee benefits. Project Period End Date is currently set to September 30, 2027.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Project Leadership & Oversight</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee day-to-day implementation of all SIP activities in alignment with DOJ STOP grant goals and deliverables.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead the development and operations of the Public Safety and Mental Health Training Institute.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and manage all SIP training programs including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Youth MHFA (YMHFA), and Teen MHFA (TMHFA).</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise support personnel, including an administrative assistant and contracted consultants and grant subawards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Establish and facilitate the SIP Advisory Board, ensuring representation from key stakeholder groups (e.g., schools, parents, SROs, community partners).</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as liaison between AMC, school districts, and other key partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Cultivate partnerships with school districts, police departments, community agencies, and first responders across Central MA.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate quarterly advisory board evaluations and meetings.</p> </li></ul> <p>Training, Outreach, & Community Engagement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead outreach efforts to participating school districts and community members to identify training needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy with contracted consultants to promote SIP and its offerings.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with schools to assess mental health needs using a validated toolkit and identify community targeted interventions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Evaluation & Reporting</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work closely with the external project evaluator to ensure robust data collection and analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Track training outcomes, program engagement metrics, and advisory feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and assist in submitting timely reports to the DOJ, including quarterly financial reports and semi-annual performance reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor project fidelity, quality assurance, and alignment with stated goals.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Advanced degree (Master's minimum) in public safety, psychology, social work, education, public health, public administration, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience (3-5 years minimum) managing multi-partner projects, preferably with federal funding.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven leadership in public safety, education, or community-based mental health settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Direct experience working with K-12 schools, youth-focused programming, or school safety initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with mental health literacy programs such as Mental Health First Aid.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience conducting needs assessments and coordinating professional development in mental health, public safety, or violence prevention.</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in grant compliance, performance measurement, and data-informed program improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfort working within institutions of higher education and multi-agency teams.</p> </li></ul> <p>Apply</p>
