Uses correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following established safety rules and regulations and ALS best practices. </li><li>Report all safety concerns to the Supervisor or Manager and participate in incident investigations when required. </li><li>Operate and maintain analytical balances in accordance with ALS procedures. </li><li>Accurately weigh pulp samples within ALS established weight ranges and standardized work instructions. </li><li>Inspect prepared pulp samples for poor homogeneity (non- uniform grain sizes) </li><li>Identify poorly prepared pulp samples and report to the supervisor or Manager. </li><li>Repost all quality concerns to supervisor including equipment problems and suspected sample mix-ups while weighing. Corrects the problem with assistance from supervisor. </li><li>Use Webview to locate, transport and update disposition of client samples by workorder or digestion run number. </li><li>Wash labware using correct lab procedures to prevent cross contamination and maintain a good circulation of available test tubes and racks. </li><li>Safely dispose sample solution waste using correct lab procedures. </li><li>Recommend ideas for safety, quality, or productivity improvements. </li><li>May create digestion run batches on Webview with assistance. </li><li>May assist in training new employees. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Manager/ Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>.</p> <p>About you</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer skills in using software applications required. </li><li>Good hand eye coordination. </li><li>Good listening skills. </li><li>Able to work in team setting. </li><li>Good organizational skills. </li><li>Quality and detail oriented individual. </li><li>Ability to work independently or under supervision. </li><li>Basic English communication skills required (verbal and written). </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 6 months' work experience in a production-oriented environment. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 20lbs. </li><li>Ability to sit and/or stand at a computer for up to 7.5 hours. </li><li>Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range:$33,357.60-$80,240.40 Annual</p> <p>Working at ALS</p> <p>The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.</p> <p>Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.</p> <p>At ALS, you'll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
