<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Management Specialists - Response. Since the actual work location will be the deployment site(s), these positions have the potential to report out of any WSP USA office, which could include Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Birmingham, AL; New Orleans, LA; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX.</p> <p>Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis. Cadre members are not eligible for benefits.</p> <p>Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <ul> <li>Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories. </li><li>Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster. </li><li>Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions. </li><li>Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility. </li><li>Support Emergency Management Project Management functions. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma. </li><li>7+ years experience, including 1+ years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent. </li><li>Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel. </li><li>FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification. </li><li>Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations up to a minimum of 30 days. </li><li>Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Emergency Management (or related field). </li><li>Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience. </li><li>Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment. </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting tools. </li></ul> <p>WSP Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.</p> <p>Expected Salary (Colorado only): $30-$35/hour</p> <p>WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
