<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Emergency Department Tech to join our team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. This person is responsible for assisting Physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs and documents in the patients' electronic health record (EHR)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic nursing care such as ADLs, collecting routine specimens, vital signs, intake, output and weight.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs procedures and treatments such as EKGs, point of care testing, application and monitoring of patient's response to restraints and constant observation.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates routinely with the Registered Nurse and immediately reports any findings or concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize the problems, identify probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED. </li><li>Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks. </li><li>CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required. </li><li>American Red Cross (Preferred) </li><li>American Heart Association (accepted) </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time, 36 hours, night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. </li><li>must work every other weekend/holiday as scheduled </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <ul> <li>Our Mission and Core Values </li><li>Great benefits and Health Insurance Coverage-starting Day One! </li><li>Career growth and advancement potential </li><li>Award-winning Hospitals and Departments </li></ul> <p>Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
