<p>Associate Pastor/Pastor of Youth</p> <p>Purpose: The principle function of the Youth Pastor is to serve as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to lead the youth ministry of FBC Manning.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li>Must be a Christian. </li><li>Must be called by God to ministry. </li><li>Must have completed four years of college and/or a seminary degree. </li><li>Must be committed to the fellowship and ministries of the church. </li></ol> <p>Supervisor: Supervised by the Lead Pastor.</p> <p>Responsibilities as Youth Pastor Oversee the ministries and activities for 6 th -12 th grades. Prepare and teach the youth Sunday school class. Prepare and teach the Wednesday evening youth Bible study. Prepare and publish a youth ministry calendar to present at the Church Council. Plan and lead "extra" activities (may include events like: retreats, "fun" trips, etc.) Plan and lead the annual youth mission trip. Plan and execute fundraisers for the youth mission trip. Attend students' extracurricular events. Maintain communication with the parents of FBC Manning. Develop and recommend a youth ministry budget. Attend monthly deacon's meetings.</p> <p>Responsibilities as Associate Pastor Preach in the absence of the Lead Pastor as assigned. Assist with the ordinances when requested. Occasionally perform hospital visits with or in the absence of the Lead Pastor. Participate in weddings and funerals as requested.
