<p>UFG is currently seeking a Director, FP&A who will report directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact, collaborative finance team within the FP&A function.</p> <p>The Director will be responsible for delivering timely, insightful financial analysis and executive-level presentations, supporting key decisions across business units, functions, and leadership teams. A key focus of the role includes managing the company's expense allocation standards and monitoring enterprise-wide spending.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the company's annual and long-term planning, forecasting, and enterprise-wide strategic financial analysis </li><li>Oversee expense analysis and reporting to drive decision-making, improve financial performance, and ensure alignment with company-wide financial goals </li><li>Develop clear, actionable presentations and analysis on expenses </li><li>Foster a culture of data driven decision making and financial discipline across the organization </li><li>Deliver insightful recommendations on investment strategies, cost management, and business optimization </li><li>Lead expense allocation efforts across business units, functions and regions </li><li>Simplify complex challenges into clear, strategic guidance and next steps </li><li>Promote continuous improvement and growth within the team by identifying and implementing enhancements to financial planning and expense management processes </li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, helping teams define and achieve short- and long-term objectives </li><li>Monitor peer benchmarks and key metrics related to business and expense performance </li><li>Support process improvements in vendor management and AP to enhance accuracy and efficiency </li></ul> <p>Job Specifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Analytics required; MBA preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>10 + years of experience in financial analysis, expense management, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. </li><li>Preference for experience in the Commercial insurance market </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles </li><li>Knowledge of both statutory and GAAP accounting principles preferred </li><li>Experience leading finance transformation efforts including implementation of system solutions. </li><li>Proven track record of developing and implementing successful expense management strategies. </li><li>Ability to understand, analyze and succinctly summarize financial results </li><li>Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization </li><li>Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences </li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering collaboration and motivation. </li><li>Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Superior attention to detail with a strategic mindset </li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments and deadline driven </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word </li><li>Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau) </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>General office environment </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
