Come as you are and achieve better lives as part of the St. Louis Arc family of individuals in this unique overnight summer role of NextED Challenge Partner ($18/hour). This seasonal Monday - Thursday role will support young adults (18 to 30 years old) with developmental disabilities by providing a unique learning experience in apartment style living, using dormitories on the campus of UMSL. Overnight stays are required in the dormitories.</p> <p>This year, NextED Challenge is seeking to fill openings for the week of June 23 - 27 and July 14 - 18. For June, training is scheduled for June 16, 2025 and for July, training is scheduled for July 5, 2025.</p> <p>June:</p> <p>Overnight Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 9:00 pm to 7:00 a.m.</p> <p>Day Staff:</p> <ul> <li>Schedule 1: Mon 8:30a-1:30pm, Tues-Thur 6:30am-12pm </li><li>Schedule 2: Mon: 12Pm-5:30pm, Tues-Thur 11:30am-5pm </li></ul> <p>July:</p> <p>Overnight Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 9:00 pm to 7:00 a.m.</p> <p>Day Staff</p> <ul> <li>Schedule 1: Mon 8:30a-1:30pm, Tues-Thur 6:30am-12pm </li><li>Schedule 2: Mon: 12Pm-5:30pm, Tues-Thur 11:30am-5pm </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Be a team player by sharing in responsibilities and duties supporting participants </li><li>Know and understand all safety procedures as trained </li><li>Facilitate group activities as needed </li><li>Support participants to grow toward achieving their goals and learning decision-making, independence and self-expression </li><li>Develop rapport with participants which will allow for effective and supportive communication, becoming familiar with their needs and abilities </li><li>Keep coordinator informed of all activities and maintain open communication with all staff </li><li>Attend all required training and staff meetings, and comply with Arc policies and procedures </li><li>Adhere to Arc core values of Respect, Collaboration and Empowerment </li><li>Support all Arc diversity and inclusion practices </li></ul> <p>What you can expect from us:</p> <ul> <li>All meals and snacks will be provided! </li><li>We'll celebrate and empower your unique gifts and contributions. </li><li>We'll help you help others.
