In-office work is required on Tuesdays and Fridays to support key weekly community events.</p> <p>5/19/2024</p> <p>ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR, Kavli Inst for Astrophysics and Space Research (MKI), to coordinate, lead, and assist with operational activities and non-technical projects that span administrative needs of MKI and provide administrative and logistical support for the Director and Associate Director; manage complex travel for Director and AD and external speakers from the MKI colloquium series; serve as a representative and face of MKI and acting as its first person of contact, including greeting visitors/appointments, assisting employees and students with questions, and being a resource on department and Institute matters; plan and manage events, seminars, and colloquia; arrange scheduling and use of space in the Marlar Lounge; purchase and setup/breakdown of refreshments for MKI Tuesday afternoon colloquium and lunch catering for Friday Journal Club; handle reimbursements for Graduate Student/Postdoc lunches; and curate content for MKI's WordPress web site.</p>
