We have more than 6,400 employees and associates in our partner dental practices and operate nationwide.</p> <p>Visit our website to discover how Sun Life is making life brighter for our customers, partners and communities.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Sun Life embraces a hybrid work model that balances in-office collaboration with the flexibility of virtual work.</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at Sun Life's U.S. Group, Enrollment, and Claims business areas.</p> <p>This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing our suite of applications, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive support for application maintenance and enhancement activities </li><li>Manage and resolve application tickets, system defects, and enhancement requests </li><li>Assist in major incident resolution and release management </li><li>Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams </li><li>Conduct system health checks and manage support ticket queues </li><li>Participate in project transitions, disaster recovery events, and release management activities </li><li>Develop temporary workarounds for business users when needed </li><li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts </li></ul> <p>Ideal Candidate Profile:</p> <ul> <li>BS/BA degree or equivalent experience </li><li>3+ years of progressive experience in an analyst role or business role using web/client server applications </li><li>Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to work effectively with partners across different time zones and locations </li><li>Self-motivated with excellent workload management and prioritization skills </li><li>Proficiency in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders </li><li>Experience with benefit administration platforms, preferably Workday </li><li>Familiarity with AWS application logs, claims processing, and APIs </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft SQL or XML is a plus </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation program for critical application support </li><li>Ability to manage tasks associated with project transitions and release management </li><li>Strong understanding of business processes and functional knowledge in the insurance industry </li></ul> <p>Not ready to apply yet but want to stay in touch?
