<p>Job Summary: Accurately maintain up to date processing of the system and perform client billing, collection and follow-up for medical, clinical and other services provided.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Receives paper or electronic claim forms, reviews for accuracy and completeness of information and submits a completed claim form in a timely fashion to both primary and secondary insurance companies for payment on patient accounts. </li><li>Validates CPT/ICD-10 codes indicated by insurance company policy for accurate processing of claims. </li><li>Keys claims electronically to Medicare, Medicaid and other companies as required. </li><li>Contacts insurance companies via phone or electronic means to collect payment on submitted patient claims. </li><li>Receives calls from a variety of sources regarding patient accounts. </li><li>Makes necessary corrections to medical claim forms to ensure accurate payment. </li><li>Answers inquiries/denials on claims and resubmits any information required by insurance companies in order to process claims </li><li>Other duties as assigned. To include but not limited to: </li><li>Refund Processing </li><li>Insurance Billing </li><li>Benefit Breakdowns </li><li>Administrative Support </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Position requires manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment. </li><li>Position requires the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail for long periods of time in order to maintain accurate records pertaining to patient and/or account information </li><li>Position functions within a normal office environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Training in medical billing/coding preferred. </li><li>Experience in claims submission processes, procedure and diagnosis coding required. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. </li><li>Excellent organization skills required. </li><li>Ability to pay attention to detail, ability to work with numbers, ability to work in a fast paced environment and ability to work independently or in a team environment are required. </li></ul>
