<p>Stock Handler Helper Madison Storeroom</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Handling stock,</p> <p>materials and fork truck experience required. Must have the ability to use hand trucks, carts, and various</p> <p>other material handling equipment. In addition, the ability to physically lift and move material of up to 70</p> <p>pounds at times (and 50 pounds on a frequent basis); a willingness to climb ladders and work at various</p> <p>heights; and the ability to stand or walk during the entire duration of the shift is required. Shift work and/or</p> <p>working staggering shifts between the hours of 6 AM to 6 PM is required. Computer literacy and general</p> <p>PC ability to send and receive email, utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. The ability</p> <p>to effectively utilize handheld scanning technology and to gain knowledge of an inventory management</p> <p>system for processing stores transactions are also required. Good math skills and the ability to</p> <p>communicate effectively are required.</p> <p>A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required, and the ability to obtain a</p> <p>CDL B is required within 6 months of start date.</p> <p>The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 ($31.70) and progresses in accordance with the union</p> <p>contract. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.</p> <p>The selected candidate must be available for emergency response duties as required and work in</p> <p>accordance with Eversource safety policies and procedures.</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION: The individual will be responsible for warehousing and stocking of various</p> <p>materials, including maintaining accurate material tracking through an inventory management system.</p> <p>The selected candidate will perform preloading/packing of material on trucks and unloading of any/all</p> <p>items to be warehoused; coordinate accurate stocking of material as defined; and carry out order</p> <p>functions as requested.</p> <p>Individual will be responsible for the movement of material which may include, but is not limited to,</p> <p>operating a forklift, hand truck, cart, or any other equipment that is used to perform warehousing duties;</p> <p>will be responsible to pick orders using ladders, where the ability to work at heights. is necessary;</p> <p>coordinate with responsible parties to verify ordered equipment where accuracy is in question; and to</p> <p>report any concerns regarding damaged/potentially damaged materials to the appropriate individual.</p> <p>The selected candidate will be responsible for lifting and lowering of stock weighing between up to 70</p> <p>pounds (at times) and 50 pounds on a frequent basis; utilizing an inventory management system;</p> <p>coordinating orders and deliveries with responsible individuals; verifying stock accuracy if requested; and</p> <p>receiving storeroom inventory and reordering materials.
