Accrued time is available for immediate use; prorated first year </li></ul> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the quality system in a composite manufacturing environment. This includes overseeing quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal specifications. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of composite materials and processes, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive product and process excellence.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead, develop, and manage the quality team, including inspectors, quality engineers, and document control personnel. </li><li>Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. </li><li>Manage the execution of internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory body audits. </li><li>Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA) for internal and external quality issues. </li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, control plans, inspection plans, and training programs. </li><li>Oversee and improve the Material Review Board (MRB) process and disposition of nonconforming materials. </li><li>Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including yield, first-pass success rate, defect trends, and customer complaints. </li><li>Lead initiatives to improve product quality, reduce scrap/rework, and drive continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. </li><li>Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturability of composite components. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with customers and regulatory bodies. </li><li>Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by establishing robust quality plans and validating processes during development and launch phases. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Deep understanding of composite materials, fabrication processes, and inspection techniques. </li><li>Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards and requirements. </li><li>Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma, Control Plans). </li><li>Experience with root cause analysis, statistical process control, and internal auditing. </li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams in aerospace manufacturing environment. </li><li>5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Experience working with composite materials in a manufacturing environment is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Certificates</p> <ul> <li>Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred. </li><li>Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred. </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience using cloud-based ERP and quality management systems (QMS). </li><li>Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, strong Excel is required. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.</p> <ul> <li>Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled. </li><li>Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. </li><li>Exposure to hazardous equipment. </li><li>Exposure to contaminants. </li><li>Shared workspaces with other employees. </li><li>Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending. </li><li>Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime). </li></ul> <p>Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)</p> <p>Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor.
