If you are ready to work in the fast-paced and high-energy setting of the Cavs, Monsters, Charge, Legion and Rocket Arena- then we want to talk to YOU!</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The 'Director, Partnership Strategy' will lead the strategy and development of partner-related business objectives including new business, renewals, and upsells. The position will serve as a thought leader for the organization to fuel the creation of transformative integrated marketing campaigns that foster alignment between Cavaliers Global Partnerships and partner and prospective partner brands. This is a highly creative role, responsible for stimulating a solutions-oriented mindset to drive KPIs for our partners and prospective partner brands.</p> <p>The Director will be a key contributor in the department's pursuit of achieving all business and revenue goals. This position reports to the 'Vice President, Global Partnership Development'.</p> <p>Direct Reports:</p> <ul> <li>Seasonal Team Member (Intern) </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with overall with partnership revenue strategy including but not limited to monetization of new platforms, campaigns around open inventory and capital projects, assessment of current and future categories, and solutions for current and prospective partners. </li><li>Drive partnership storytelling via ownership of Cavs value proposition and oversee consistent delivery of high-quality, impactful narratives across all sales materials (one-sheets, decks, case studies, sizzle reels, etc.). </li><li>Develop breakthrough, 360-degree strategies and marketing platforms for partners and prospective partners serving as an internal resource for Partnership Marketing and Development teams. </li><li>Lead brainstorms and nurture ideas from conception to pitch through cross-functional collaboration with marketing, PR, community relations, retail, consumer insights, business intelligence, digital and social teams to drive disruptive/transformative ideas. </li><li>Conduct and source brand research and analyze data insights to provide context to current and new partnership platforms in concert with the Business Intelligence team. </li><li>Manage and optimize the catalog of partnership inventory in concert with the Business Intelligence team. </li><li>Responsible for updating documents for department use including platform and asset write-ups and the project status tracker. </li><li>Regularly network with NBA, AHL, agencies, and digital media companies for the purposes of relationship, marketplace insights, and revenue opportunities. </li><li>Routinely cultivate and share best practices that have a tangential relationship with sports and entertainment. Leverage those best practices in manner that drives external recognition and internal inspiration. </li><li>Participate in weekly team meetings to report on and discuss ongoing owned projects. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or a related field. </li><li>5+ years of partnership sales or solutions experience, within an entertainment organization, agency, professional sports team, league, media or translatable experience. </li><li>A thought leader and innovator across the Sports, Media, Entertainment and Live Events landscapes. </li><li>Consistent attendance at department or company events and games including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>An intellectually curious, creative, passionate storyteller and problem solver. </li><li>A Strategist with a deep understanding of how driving brand objectives can fuel revenue generation. </li><li>Digitally savvy with expertise around Social platforms, branded content and emerging technologies. </li><li>Possess sharp analytical skills with a proclivity to leverage data to inform decision making. </li><li>Highly collaborative, adaptable team player with capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>A track record of creativity, solutions, driving partnership growth and meeting set goals. </li><li>Known throughout the industry for professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts. </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.</p>
