<p>Assistant Director of Nursing</p> <p>At Cedarbrook Senior Living, we work hard every day to find out what "Celebrating Life Every Day!" means to our residents and their families, then we help them achieve these goals. We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing at our Bloomfield Hills community.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists the Director of Nursing in the professional supervision of resident care, provided by nurses and care staff. </li><li>Interviews, recommends, hires and trains nurses and care staff employees. </li><li>Assists in planning, assigning, and directing work to resident care staff, including assigning lunch and scheduled breaks. </li><li>Transfers employees among units as needed for proper coverage of resident needs, helps determine the rotation of employee coverage within the building. </li><li>Provides assistance with preparing performance evaluations. </li><li>Assists in the correction of errors on timecards, authorizes overtime, and assists with all other timekeeping records, as needed. </li><li>Monitors and corrects job performance of employees as well as receives and resolves employee complaints. </li><li>Helps the Director of Nursing with the overall direction, coordination of care and evaluation of the nursing department. </li><li>Assists in maintaining administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the proper charting and documentation of care and of medications and individual care plans. </li><li>Takes responsibility in the absence of the Director of Nursing to ensure resident safety, care and concerns are handled professionally and appropriately. </li><li>Assists the staffing coordinator with developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the resident population. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed Practical Nurse with management or supervisor experience in Senior Living </li><li>Must be licensed in Michigan to practice as a nurse </li><li>Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Paid Time Off, Earned Sick Time, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, etc.</p>
