<p>Description</p> <p>NHL Street - Youth Floor Hockey Referee</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>NHL Street is seeking dependable, confident, and energetic referees to officiate youth floor hockey games in a fun, fast-paced, and community-focused environment. As a Youth Floor Hockey Referee, you'll help create a safe, fair, and exciting experience for players while upholding the NHL Street standards of sportsmanship and integrity.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Officiate games across various age divisions with fairness, consistency, and professionalism. </li><li>Enforce NHL Street and league rules while keeping the game flowing smoothly. </li><li>Promote positive conduct and sportsmanship among players, coaches, and spectators. </li><li>Provide clear and calm explanations of calls and rules when needed. </li><li>Assist with setup and takedown of equipment before and after games. </li><li>Report injuries, incidents, or concerns promptly to the Youth Program Director. </li><li>Serve as an active, visible representative of NHL Street to players, families, and the community. </li><li>Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to officiate every assigned game. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Required Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of floor hockey rules and gameplay. </li><li>Ability to make fast, impartial decisions under pressure. </li><li>Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities. </li><li>Interest in youth development and creating a positive game-day experience. </li><li>Prior referee experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to move quickly, run short distances, and stay on your feet for the duration of a game. </li><li>Comfortable standing, walking, squatting, and signaling clearly throughout gameplay. </li><li>Able to lift or move up to 15 lbs of equipment as needed. </li></ul> <p>Company Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook </li><li>Park in team member-designated areas </li><li>Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and clean </li><li>Assist with Service Days </li><li>Assist with acac programs, special events, or activities outside your department </li><li>Promptly return messages </li><li>Exhibit a positive attitude at all times </li><li>Deliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times </li></ul> <p>Affirmative Action/EEO statement</p> <p>acac is an equal opportunity employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.</p> <p>Other duties</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
