<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday</p> <p>Location: North Hospital Medical Offices- Urology Department</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This role facilitates patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Gathering financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records and optimal reimbursement </li><li>Scheduling appointments and interviewing patients for medical information </li><li>Explaining department/hospital charges and policies </li><li>Validating and entering charges into appropriate systems </li><li>Collecting necessary payments </li><li>Answering incoming calls and directing patients and visitors appropriately </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA preferred </li><li>1-2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred </li><li>Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred </li><li>Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred </li><li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) </li></ul>
