Eligibility and Employer Sponsored Plans can be found within each of the links offered.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <p>This position will provide professional individual and group counseling services and outreach to NC State students as well as consultation to University administrators, staff and others who have concerns about the mental/emotional status of NC State students. The staff member will be embedded within the Campus Centers to primarily serve students who visit those centers.</p> <p>The person in this position will consult and build relationships with center staff and gain an understanding of the unique needs of the population served, as well as focus on serving students in the Pride Center and on Centennial Campus.</p> <p>This position will assist in all areas of Counseling Center functioning including:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individual and group counseling of NC State students/clients (personal, academic, and vocational assessment and counseling); psychological assessment; developmental and crisis counseling; couples counseling; evaluation of students for withdrawal from the University </li><li>Develop and participate in outreach programming, hold lets talk drop in spaces </li><li>Consult with faculty staff, parents, and others </li><li>Provide evaluations and recommendations regarding students with academic and conduct problems </li><li>Participate in after hours "on call" and possible evening office hours </li><li>General administrative responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>This position may involve participation in supervision/training of graduate students and program evaluation </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree required and a doctorate preferred in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work or closely-related field </li><li>Appropriate licensure must be obtained/maintained according to NC laws </li></ul> <p>Other Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong clinical skills </li><li>Experience in handling crisis situations </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a college/university counseling center </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a large mental health services agency </li><li>Previous work with electronic records and scheduling, preferably Titanium </li><li>Experience in risk assessment </li><li>Ability to provide clinical supervision </li></ul> <p>Required License(s) or Certification(s)</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate licensure must be obtained/maintained according to NC laws </li></ul> <p>Valid NC Driver's License required No Commercial Driver's License required No</p>
