<p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Responsible and accountable for effectively scheduling customer requirements, within manufacturing capabilities and in support of the business objectives. Responsible and accountable for maintaining sound relationships with customer service, marketing, materials and manufacturing personnel. Responsible and accountable for utilizing forecasting data to create capacity planning models and to monitor manufacturing performance to the production schedule.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manages the functional activities in a manner consistent with ensuring the following operation objectives are achieved:</p> </li><li> <p>Customer Service-Achieve and maintain an on-time shipping performance level of 95% or greater</p> </li><li> <p>Inventory Levels-Maintain minimum finished goods inventory levels in accordance with established "days on hand" goal</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the functional activities in a manner consistent with ensuring the divisional objectives relative to inventory management and manufacturing efficiency are achieved through effective scheduling of customer requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the utilization of forecast data in a manner consistent with supporting the facility objectives relative to customer service, inventory management and manufacturing efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the implementation of new product launches. Ensure the timely processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and initiate ECOs to support Materials and Operations objectives, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and schedule internal fabricated assemblies and optimize inventory levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Function as a liaison between customer service, materials management and manufacturing in support of the development, execution, and implementation of divisional programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Support departmental escalation policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Support cross training initiatives of the department.</p> </li><li> <p>Acquire an understanding of manufacturing principals to drive ERP improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize QAD, DC, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain regular attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Training</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred. </li><li>APICS Certified or pursuing certification, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3- 5 years' experience production planning required. </li><li>Experienced in the use of MRPII systems in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Skilled in the application of current Materials Management practices including Master Scheduling, MRP, Production Planning & Control, Inventory Control concepts, techniques, processes and procedures. </li><li>Skilled in the use of a personal computer and application of spreadsheet, word processing and project management software. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary office setting for a majority of the day. </li><li>Minimal need to move about inside office designated area. </li><li>Frequent movement of hands, wrists, and fingers such as typing, filing, and writing. </li><li>This position requires interaction with the production floor work centers. </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Frequent exposure to office designated area. </li><li>Minimal exposure to loud noises. </li><li>Minimal need to travel to different locations </li></ul> <p>Behavioral Traits</p> <ul> <li>Cooperation, Innovation, and Production Focus </li><li>Attention to Detail </li><li>Development and Continual Learning </li><li>Self-Management </li><li>Stress Tolerance </li><li>Safety Focus </li><li>This is not a comprehensive list of duties.
