<p>The Department of Human Development at Teachers College, Columbia University invites applications from highly qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in one or more of the programs offered by the department at Teachers College.</p> <p>Job Summary/Basic Function:</p> <p>The Department of Human Development at Teachers College, Columbia University invites applications from highly qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in one or more of the programs offered by the department (Cognitive Science in Education, Measurement, Evaluation and Statistics, Developmental Psychology, Learning Analytics & Data, Learning & Society) during the Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 terms. Courses are offered to doctoral and masters students in the department and throughout the College. Both on campus and online assignments are available.</p> <p>General Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Teach one or more sections of courses in the Department Human Development in face-to-face or online format. </li><li>Duties include classroom teaching, creation and distribution of course syllabi, assignments, assessments, and grading. </li></ul> <p>Please include in your cover letter which program(s) you are interested in teaching for based on your relevant experience.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a related content field </li><li>Content expertise </li><li>University teaching experience </li><li>The candidate must be a US citizen or have visa status permitting employment in the United States. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Evidence of successful teaching from a recently taught course</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>Starting at $4,500 per course</p> <p>Work Modality:</p> <p>Hybrid</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Teachers College is committed to fostering an inclusive academic community and to providing equal opportunity in employment.
