<p>Job Title: FIT Implementation Specialist</p> <p>Grade: 25</p> <p>Salary: $92,055-$98,490</p> <p>The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time Implementation Specialist for CPI. CPI seeks an Implementation Specialist to support the Focus on Integrated Treatment (FIT) initiative. FIT provides training, support, and consultation to behavioral health providers across New York State seeking to disseminate, implement and sustain integrated treatment for people with complex needs (mental health conditions, substance use, and physical health conditions). The person applying for this position must be self-directed, a team player committed to recovery-focused, person-centered, and culturally humble treatment, and value a data-driven approach to delivering of behavioral health services. This includes openness to learning about cultural humility-based approaches to providing mental health and substance use services and a thorough understanding of person-centered practice and the process and possibility of robust recovery for people who have been psychiatrically labeled and who use substances</p> <p>Under the auspices of the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) promotes the widespread use of evidence-based practices within behavioral health provider agencies throughout New York State. Considered an "Intermediary Organization" for implementation, CPI uses innovative approaches to build stakeholder collaborations, develop and maintain practitioners' expertise, and build agency infrastructures that support implementing and sustaining evidence-based practices. CPI also works with OMH to identify and involve program participants, families, providers, and scientific/academic organizations as partners in supporting the goals of OMH and CPI.</p> <p>The applicant must have experience with behavioral health issues and structures through work or personal experience. Further, we seek a person with good interpersonal skills who can work with diverse populations at all levels of multiple organizations. While not required, familiarity with other systems of care, including criminal justice, houselessness, and IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities), is helpful.</p> <p>Except for travel (noted below), working remotely is possible. Candidate must be located in NYS or NYC metro area.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Reporting directly to the Project Director of the Focus on Integrated Treatment (FIT) Initiative, Nancy Covell, the incumbent will work collaboratively with the FIT team to provide training and technical assistance to behavioral healthcare providers throughout New York State. </li><li>The incumbent will support implementation of integrated treatment by working directly with agency/program leaders and practitioners to support their implementation efforts. </li><li>Working collaboratively on a small multidisciplinary team, specific duties of the incumbent include: </li><li>Leading or co-leading specific training efforts to support integrated treatment. </li><li>Leading or co-leading specific technical assistance efforts (e.g., learning collaboratives, quality improvement projects) to support implementation of integrated treatment. </li><li>Developing culturally humble training materials including online modules, webinars, and in-person training. </li><li>Developing culturally humble implementation tools and supports for program leaders, supervisors, practitioners, and program participants, including implementation guides and practice-specific workbooks. </li><li>Conducting fidelity assessments. </li><li>Staying abreast of Federal, State, and Local policies and programs for people diagnosed with mental health and substance use, and other complex needs. </li><li>Staying abreast of the evidence-base around integrated treatment and emerging issues (e.g., new illicit drugs). </li><li>Traveling throughout New York City and potentially to other regions of NY to provide in-person training and implementation support. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree and (6) years of experience in a related field; a Master's degree and (4) years of experience; or a Doctorate and two years of experience. </li><li>Personal lived & living experience of mental health and/or substance recovery can substitute for education. </li><li>At least (2) years of experience facilitating training/workshops around Motivational Interviewing </li><li>At least (2) years of experience providing technical assistance or consultation services to whole </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) trainer </li><li>At least (2) years of experience providing and implementing evidence-based integrated treatment practices. </li><li>At least (2) years of experience with supervision providing coaching and feedback to help staff, coworkers, or interns develop skills. </li><li>At least (2) years of experience with the New York State behavioral healthcare system or like experience with a different large behavioral healthcare system. </li><li>At least (2) years of experience using software and web-based applications, such as learning management systems - Zoom, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint. </li></ul> <p>Work Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032</p> <p>To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://nyspi.applicantpro.com/jobs/.
