The report contains information on security policies as well as crime and fire statistics for the University.</p> <p>The LGBTQA+ Center on the NYC Campus of Pace University is seeking to hire a part-time program assistant. This is a part-time employee will be assisting with the development of graphics and media. The incumbent will gain valuable and transferrable skills, such as staff management, event planning, LGBTQA+ knowledge, that can support future employment opportunities. The incumbent can also anticipate training that will prepare them to support the programmatic, administrative, informational, and visibility efforts of the LGBTQA+ Center.</p> <p>Position Duties</p> <ul> <li>Work with the LGBTQA+ Center director on outreach, staff management, training, and development of educational programs for the campus community. </li><li>Connect students to resources; plan and develop programs; co-facilitate trainings and discussions. </li><li>Perform basic web maintenance and social media management. </li><li>Assist with organizing a weekly newsletter. </li><li>Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time. </li></ul> <p>Work Hours</p> <p>Exact hours to be determined with supervisor; generally up to 20 hours per week, preferably during business hours (10:00am - 6:00pm) and on site in 41 Park Row.</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. </li><li>Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner. </li><li>Knowledge of and interest in supporting the needs of the LGBTQA+ community. </li><li>Ability to help manage and motivate a team. </li><li>Ability to plan, advertise, and execute LGBTQA+ Center programming. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Reliable and patient with visitors. </li><li>Ability to work independently. </li><li>Strong customer service and organizational skills. </li></ul>
