<p>Senior Manager, Facilities</p> <p>We are seeking a visionary and operationally excellent Sr. Manager of Facilities to lead our global facilities strategy with a primary focus on our A10 San Jose headquarters. This is a high-impact, on-site leadership role responsible for delivering an exceptional workplace experience through best-in-class building operations, vendor and security management, space planning, and capital projects.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in day-to-day facilities management, renovations, construction build-outs, and global lease oversight, along with the interpersonal and strategic skills to lead cross-functional initiatives and vendor partnerships. You will drive operational efficiency, workplace safety, and service excellence while managing high value budgets.</p> <p>This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about creating spaces that enable people to do their best work.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Facilities Operations (San Jose HQ)</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily operations for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevators) </li><li>Maintain preventative maintenance schedules using a CMMS/other like systems </li><li>Manage janitorial, Security, Vendors, landscaping, parking, signage, shipping/receiving, and general upkeep </li><li>Ensure Clean, Comfortable, and Well-Maintained Spaces for A10 employees </li><li>Manage the system for requests and maintain metrics for responsiveness </li><li>Maintain and manage permits and certifications as it relates to Facilities local/state </li><li>Provide leadership presence on-site to address issues in real time </li><li>Open to suggestions to improve the workplace environment </li><li>Serves as the conduit to IT for lab and data center facilities tactical support </li><li>Be the point of contact and/or develop staff to manage corporate events and other </li></ul> <p>Global Real Estate & Lease Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage commercial leases, renewals, expansions, and terminations across multiple international locations </li><li>Partner with Legal, Finance, and local leaders to negotiate lease terms, renewals, and office changes </li><li>Maintain a central lease database and proactively flag critical dates </li></ul> <p>Construction, Moves & Buildouts</p> <ul> <li>Lead planning and execution of office moves, renovations, and tenant improvements (TI) </li><li>Read and interpret construction documents, space plans, and MEP drawings </li><li>Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and project managers during build-out phases </li><li>Ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, and meets operational needs </li></ul> <p>Security & Emergency Response</p> <ul> <li>Oversee workplace security operations including physical access control, visitor management, and emergency protocols </li><li>Coordinate with Security vendors and internal IT for system integration (badging, surveillance, alarms) </li><li>Manage workplace safety audits, drills, and compliance initiatives </li></ul> <p>Vendor & Contractor Management</p> <ul> <li>Source, onboard, and manage vendors for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, construction, and security </li><li>Conduct contract negotiations, service-level agreement (SLA) enforcement, and regular performance reviews </li><li>Own RFP and bid processes for major services </li></ul> <p>Team & People Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop a team of facilities professionals, office coordinators, and third-party contractors </li><li>Promote a culture of service excellence, safety, and proactive problem-solving </li><li>Support staffing plans, hiring, training, and performance development </li></ul> <p>Budgeting & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Own OPEX and CAPEX planning for San Jose and contribute to global budgeting as needed </li><li>Track expenses, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives </li><li>Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on status, risks, and recommendations </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in facilities or workplace operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role </li><li>Prior experience managing corporate headquarters as well as global lease portfolios </li><li>Proven experience overseeing office moves, tenant improvements, and construction projects </li><li>Skilled in reading blueprints and technical drawings, and working with GCs, architects, and inspectors </li><li>Strong understanding of building systems, preventive maintenance, and safety codes </li><li>Experience with vendor negotiation, contract management, and performance tracking </li><li>Hands-on knowledge of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms) </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills </li><li>Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field </li><li>ISO 41001, or similar a plus </li><li>Familiarity with facilities management software (e.g., CMMS, AutoCAD, BMS) </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work Location: 100% on-site in San Jose, CA</p> <p>Schedule: Monday to Friday full-time with availability on weekends and after-hours as needed for emergencies or projects</p> <p>Travel: Occasional travel in bay area where needed</p> <p>A10 Networks is an equal opportunity employer and a VEVRAA federal subcontractor.
