Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Responsibilities/Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide excellent customer service to patients and direct them to appropriate departments when necessary. </li><li>Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry. </li><li>Collect and verify patient insurance details, confirm eligibility and process any co-pays and payments at time of service. </li><li>Educate patients on insurance benefits, including in-network vs. out-of-network coverage. </li><li>Ensure that necessary forms are completed and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers). </li><li>Schedule follow up appointments, document cancelled or rescheduled appointments. </li><li>Submit daily payment collection reports. </li><li>Manage record requests and releases in collaboration with Medical Records Department. </li><li>Open and close office. </li><li>Maintain a professional and respectful work environment through positive interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
