<p>Job Title: Food Service Worker</p> <p>Location: RWJUH Rahway Hospital</p> <p>Department Name: Dietary-Management</p> <p>Req #: 0000226390</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $17.64 - $17.64 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Food Service Worker is responsible to prepare and deliver quality food for patients, visitors and staff, following HACCP standards.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Cooking experience </li><li>Successfully completes the Mandatory Education as assigned </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem </li><li>Days </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate knowledge of how to operate safely and how to maintain/clean the following equipment: reach in refrigerator, juice machine, assembly line, work stations, blender, and coffee machine </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of proper portions and serving utensils for all tray line items </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of proper temperature ranges, how to maintain proper temperatures for all items and procedures for items outside acceptable ranges </li><li>Locate and stock assembly line with needed items from production areas/walk-in cold storage </li><li>Store food before and after the meal </li><li>Prepare garnishes for assembly line </li><li>Portion desserts, soups, and cereals for assembly line </li><li>Pre-prep desserts for following day </li><li>Know first in â€' first out storage procedures </li><li>Able to read patient name and room location and correctly identify patient for tray delivery by use of hospital wristband identification </li><li>Deliver and pick up trays from patient's rooms </li><li>Must complete annual safety Physical & Food in-service </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
