<p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Availability: Position Title: Food Pantry Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073680 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: CA/Student Success Responsibilities:</p> <p>Student Support and Advocacy is seeking Food Pantry Assistants, who will support projects and initiatives related to the functioning of food security initiatives for students at The New School. The position is open to New School students with a Federal Work Study (FWS) award as part of their financial aid package for the academic year 2025-2026.</p> <p>The New School is an equal opportunity employer. Delivery times vary and commitment is based upon your availability. </li><li>Administer food pantry sign in and intake form process to ensure accurate data reporting of student usage of the food pantry services. </li><li>Participate in Food Pantry operations team meetings, as needed. </li><li>Support food pantry outreach efforts which may include creation of digital marketing, flier distribution, tabling, and creation of social media messaging, including de-stigmatization of food insecurity. </li><li>Assist with the creation of a community support strategy including food drives and creative ways to engage campus support of the pantry. </li><li>Liaise with students, staff and faculty as a student ambassador of the Food Pantry. </li><li>Assist with special projects and events related to the mission of food and basic needs security, including surveys, focus groups, etc. </li></ul> <p>WORK MODE</p> <p>On-Campus Position - Employees in this position are expected to work on-campus during regularly scheduled work hours due to the nature of the work being that which is not feasible, or not in the best interest of the organization, to be performed remotely.</p> <p>SALARY RANGE</p> <p>$16.50-18/hr commensurate with experience</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Food Pantry Assistants must be available to work for a minimum of 8 hours per week.</p> </li><li> <p>Food Pantry Assistants must have availability during the pantry's main operation hours, as well as 30 minutes before and after.
